Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope that you and your families are well. As we mourn the passing of the Queen as a nation, I am writing to confirm that Birch Wood School, Birch Wood Vale and Ashton House will be closed for an additional bank holiday on Monday 19th September. This is in accordance with the advice from the Department for Education, and is both a mark of respect for the passing of Her Majesty, and to give families and staff the opportunity to witness the historic state funeral on television.
