Rebound Therapy is an exercise therapy which provides opportunities for enhanced movement patterns, therapeutic positioning, exercise and recreation for a wide range of our students. Benefits of Rebound Therapy include an increase in self-confidence, self-awareness, communication, eye contact, vocalisations and to promote relaxation. Although a trampoline is used, it is important to know that rebound therapy is not trampolining. The simple activity of bouncing on a trampoline enables a student to become aware of their own body position in space. It can also help to develop balance and coordination and improve the child’s muscle tone and body posture.
We have numerous staff members across all 3 sites who are trained in offering rebound therapy.
